The Legislative Branch: Senate/Law making process

 

Senate: The Senate is elected by the popular vote. The people of the United States of America choose them. The requirements to become a member is to be a inhabitant of a state running, be 30 years old, and to be a nine year citizen of the united states. Here, there are 100 members and two representatives per state. The Senate has the power to attempt impeachment and ratify treaties.

 

The Law making Process: First the bill goes to the House. Then the bill goes to the Senate if it makes it there. Then the President will approve or veto the bill. If it is vetoed, the bill will return to Congress and must be passed by both houses with 2/3 vote.
